Traditional Chinese medicine expert, writer, and artist Huijuan Zhang exhibited works that combined the narrative techniques of pictographs, imbuing her pieces with rich cultural and historical depth. The elegant and poetic aura of her work was truly captivating.
Curator Mu-Ning Huang, a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Art History program, previously worked with Eslite Gallery and Route Art. She commented, “The curatorial concept for this exhibition brought together diverse media forms, blending performance art, abstract art, and modern ceramics to highlight the immense potential and future growth of contemporary art in the Asian market. The total sales for this exhibition reached 476,000 NTD, and as the artists’ reputations continue to grow, their prices are expected to rise significantly in the future.” She emphasized that contemporary art is not just a visual pleasure but also a medium for deep emotional interaction with the audience, and she hopes this exhibition helped more people experience the power of art.
The event also received strong support from Taiwanese influencers and design companies. International real estate brand Light Source Vows also acquired a work by an emerging New York artist. Their representative, Jiang Huaizhe, commented, “The gallery’s embrace of Taiwan’s push for trendy art undoubtedly aligns with future trends in the art market.” ART FORMOSA has provided an ideal platform for these artists, fostering international art exchanges and expanding the possibilities for the future of the Asian art market.
